The location is fantastic. In the center of the lanes but at the end of a gated courtyard so very quiet this property is also 5min from the train station on foot and a very short walk to the beach / pier. Just couldn't have hoped for a better location.
I was taken by surprise by the rental agency (NOT booking.com) asking me to provide credit card details so a lock for a damage deposit could be placed on my account before we arrived. I was not expecting this, had never been asked to do this before and was very concerned as to whether it was a hoax or scam given that it was not using the booking.com systems.
In the end, it was all ok and my deposit was returned after our stay without difficulty and there hasn't been any un-expected transactions on my card since. But it did have me worried.
Also, anyone staying there must take into account that this property has lots of small twisting staircase and no "ground floor" to speak of. Not a problem at all for our party but worth noting for possibly less mobile people.

Great location for Nth Lanes, good coffee shop close by
Located at back of restaurant kitchen so smell of cooking comes through open windows. Washing machine mal functioned & maintenance came to help get it opened before we had to leave. Front gate does not work as a secure gate even though it is said to keep it closed, it does not lock. UX with booking app to pay deposit/bond could be better.
