The view from the terrace is truly stunning - peaceful, expansive, and exactly what we’d hoped for. The air conditioning worked very well, which made a big difference during the hot nights. The kitchen is also well-equipped if you plan to cook; lots of utensils and cooking gear available. (We didn't use the pool so I can't comment on it)
This is a private home, not a professional rental, which isn’t clear until a small banner far down the Booking.com listing. That’s an issue with the platform, not the owner, but it affected our experience. We didn’t realise we’d need to coordinate directly for check-in, which made our arrival more complicated (esp as we were driving from far away and arrived later than planned).
More frustrating was the lack of basic linens. After we were already travelling, the owner messaged us privately to say that sheets and towels were not included, and would cost extra. This is not clear anywhere in the ad. Even in private home rentals, sheets and towels are standard, so hiding this detail and then charging for it felt unwelcoming. There are no hand towels or bath mat, either.
The flat didn’t feel thoughtfully prepared: watered-down soap, only just enough dish detergent and toilet paper, and no laundry detergent (so the machine wasn’t usable). One of the stove burners emitted a smell and smoke, so we stopped using it. We needed to clean the floors when we arrived, and I’ve since seen other guests mention this in reviews. Yet we were asked to clean the kitchen and bathroom before departure — which we’re generally happy to do — but the way it was framed (“cleaning products have been graciously provided”) felt tone-deaf.
There’s no dedicated parking - a few shared visitor spots, but they were all full; luckily a kind neighbour let us use his space.
If you’re staying for a week or more and come prepared with your own supplies, this place may suit you well. But for a short stay, with no notice of these details beforehand, it felt like a string of avoidable inconveniences - and we didn’t expect to be furnishing a holiday rental just to feel settled for a few days.
