Stayed one night. All good, comfy stay with view of the river from window. Had breakfast at the Lister sister hotel. This was a bit chaotic as staff kept getting orders wrong but very tasty when arrived

Has the lister arms finally got good competition? We stayed here as the lister was full but having stayed for two nights and having a meal at both venues, the food was better at the buck inn and the service was even better
The lister arms has gone downhill In my opinion and is too busy for its own good, it is still however probably one of the most charming pub stays I’ve had in England.
However the buck inn has certainly won us over and we will be back again for sure, it delivers old school hospitality and a genuine country feel, I predict that if this place gets given enough buisness in a few years it will be the premiere pub inn in the district
