I'd stayed in the slightly more budget option across the road on my way down through France 6 weeks prior (which wasn't available for my return trip). This apartment just as peaceful, very well equipped, clean, bright, nicely simply decorated.Comfy bed/bedding. Very spacious. Could easily spend a week there.
The lake a few kms away is wonderful for a morning jog - path encircles it, worth the detour from the motorway to stay here and do a couple of lake laps before leaving!

It was peaceful, quiet, off the beaten track, spacious, totally hassle-free to gain access after a long drive. Loads of parking space directly outside. Few minutes drive to peaceful beautiful lake to run round in the morning on footpaths. I had read all the reviews and concluded that it would suit me - value for money (£30/34 Euros for 1 night), and that the negative points hi-lighted in some reviews would unlikely both me. Most of these seem to been rectified - there was a towel/tea-towel/washing up liquid/kitchen sink plug/good door lock. The 2 electric wall heaters were powerful, 1 was on when I arrived, the studio was warm. The kitchenette/bathroom/beds were clean. Still no kettle but I carry my own. Communication by host was seamless. Nice colour scheme.
Many of the ledges, some surfaces and corners of the floor were very dusty. I was aware this maybe the case from the reviews, but this didn't bother me for 1 night.
The shower drainage is still too slow to be able to take full advantage of the full power of the shower - have to watch the depth at your feet. Crockery/cutlery sparse - didn't affect me, there is a pizza cutter though!
The back blind is still broken and no curtain, may cause light problems in the summer - but nothing out there so OK in winter. Front blind works fine.
The duvets and particularly pillows are very thin. I was OK with both duvets and hot water bottle(mine) in December. I carry my own pillow so I was OK.
The heated towel rail didn't seem to work. There is no door to the bathroom area it being a studio(just a wall section) - didn't bother me.
There is evidence of historical water damage to to floor/base of walls in rear part of studio (staining) - from overflowing shower base perhaps? It is not damp now.

Nice location, in the middle of a sleepy village. Nice and quiet :)
The rental has all appliances you need For basic cooking.
Easy access, great for a stay during travelling.

we did not know it was up a flight of stairs - not a problem for us but would have been if we had the dogs with us as originally planned
could not work the TV and no instructions
no information on local shops/restaurants - just by chance we found a restaurant
