We stopped in Chartres for one night on our way to the Dordogne. Our accommodation was quite spacious - more like a suite than a bedroom and on-suite. We had a nice walk-in shower. The area was quiet, but only about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Chartres. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a great start to our holiday and experiencing French culture.

Breakfast was lovely in the main house. It was a lovely quiet location.
The location was a little way out from the centre but walkable. You have to pay cash, no credit cards accepted.

It was spacious & the breakfast good, & the owner kindly filled up my thermos with coffee for the road when asked...
It was difficult to find & there was no answer on the bell & another couple also trying to come in were experiencing the same problem. It would also be good to be informed in advance that the owner only accepted cash
