The location of the apartment is truly exceptional—it is part of a residential complex built in the 1970s. The design cleverly incorporates all the traditional architectural features of the region: houses built upon houses, where one’s roof becomes another's terrace, hidden passages, and narrow alleys—with the key difference being that here, everything is intentionally and thoughtfully planned. The apartment itself is spacious, featuring a breathtaking balcony and a large outdoor loggia, perfect for enjoying fine food while gazing out at the endless horizon.

I don't consider this a downside at all, as it's simply the natural order of things in this region (Cinque Terre). From the parking space, you have to climb up a 'shaded inner pathway of the complex' to reach the apartment itself. You can look at this either as a charming local experience or as an 'effort'—it all depends on your perspective

It's a great place for a few days or a week's quiet holiday, hiking, sports, swimming and exploring the surrounding attractions from Genoa to Lucca. The property is like a small village, with many well-spaced apartments and a beautifully maintained park. A 400-metre downhill climb from the house along a path leads to the old railway tunnel, now used as a cycle path, cool even on a summer afternoon, and in it, after a 2 km walk, you reach Bonassola beach, one of the best and largest beaches in the area. We started every morning with this. (Arena Beach is also fine, but Bonassola is super.)

We spent a very nice time in the apartment. The view is really beautiful and the place has its own climate. The host was very helpful.
