We can warmly recommend this B&B. The B&B is perfectly located in Ballachulish, a small village next to Glencoe surrounded by many stunning hills and mountains. Also, it's a great spot for Harry Potter Fans because the location of Hagrid‘s hut is only a few minutes away by car. But especially our host made the stay fully worth it. John is a very kind hearted man who helped us carry our bags up the stairs from the very first minute we arrived. He recommended a few places to visit; some touristy, some only the locals would know. He prepared a delicious scottish breakfast for us each morning and we had great chats with him about everything under the sun. We definitely would come back.

The rooms are very basic and you share a bathroom. It's all clean and comfortable though. I chatted with the owner and he seem a decent, genuine person.
It's not high end, but it's decent and honest accommodation.
The area is lovely.
The only heating in the room is by a wall mounted electric heater.
It works, but it's not as good as central heating for keeping the room dry.

The bed was actually very comfortable there, had very good night sleep there. The location was handy for what we needed for our stay, had a local supermarket and some eating places around there.
We had the top floor room which was a family room but compared to the others its seemed very worn and needed a bit more love and care. Apart from the bed which was very comfortable, we didn't like the door which was very hard to open and close and the shower room just outside the room was also not designed that well. I guess they were trying to make use of the space but having a a toilet with a shower space in there, didnt work for us. I had slippers with me but most people would not bring slippers therefore once the shower was used the whole area would be wet and if you just wanted to go to the toilet getting your feet wet wouldn't that pleasant.
