The host was very kind. Let us go inside earlier to drop the bags. The apartment is close to city center and 5 min from train station.
There is a club on the next door. But didn’t bother us at all.

This is a no-frills apartment, and ideal if you want cheap as frites accommodation a few minutes from the central station, surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. It is an easy walk through the main shopping district to the gorgeous old town. If you just want a base, the apartment is clean, with a kitchen, dining and lounging area, a big fridge (for delicious Belgian beers), and comfy beds. You receive a friendly welcome to get your keys for the private entrance and apartment, which is accessed by a small lift. Even though the apartment does not have a hairdryer, the owner kindly provided one for us after I messaged to ask if one was provided. . A nice touch.
Although it didn't bother us, the busy street at the front can be noisy. The apartment could do with some lamps, particularly by the beds. The lighting was a bit harsh! The place just needs a little bit of decorating TLC to make icosier. But, for the price - around £220 each (there were two of us) for five nights., it was a bargain. The balcony is not really nice enough to use. A clean/paint and some outdoor seats would help. However, it has a fabulous view of the beautiful train station which is lit up at night.

Handy location, easy for the station, trams and to walk into the historic centre.
The apartment was spacious with 2 separate bedrooms and a lounge.
Large clean fridge and freezer.
Beds were comfortable although the pillows were not!
Lounge area was comfortable and there was a large TV with a few English channels.
Plenty of hot water for the shower.
The kitchen area let it down. It was dingy and appliances were very worn and grimy. A microwave would have been useful.
We saw 2 large beetle type insects on the work surfaces (cockroaches?)
There was a general tatty look to the whole apartment. It could be so much better with just some basic maintenance and tidying up.
Not the fault of the host, but the building work directly opposite was very noisy, the concrete mixer started at 7am.

It was close to the bus stop and had shops nearby
Overall, it wasn’t a clean apartment and the smell was disturbing.
