Silk Road

This was a lovely stay in a great location overlooking the Giudecca Canal, a fifteen-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. The host was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to welcome and accommodate me. The room itself is bigger than it seems in pictures and has a lovely view out of two windows onto the canal. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom (although shared, rather than private) was fully fitted and perfect for requirements.

We arrived at 10:30 and were warmly welcomed by Melissa, who was incredibly kind. The location is convenient, especially for late arrivals since taxis can get close to the hotel. She even helped my mom and me carry our luggage to the third floor. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view. Even though the bathroom was shared, it was very clean, and other guests were quiet and respectful. We truly loved our stay and feel so lucky we chose this place. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality—it’s easily one of the best places to stay in Venice, if not the world.

Everything was great!

Great location in a lovely, characterful and calm part of Venice. Had everything needed for a good stay as I was staying on my own. Next to a very well stocked supermarket to buy supplies if you want to use the basic kitchen. Very close to a vaporetto stop and just along the promenade from an excellent Gelateria. It was a real relief to come back here after delving into the throngs in other parts of the city.

The place was located in front of Giudecca, with a beautiful view of the island. The San Basilio waterbus stop was less than 1 minute walking from there! The person welcoming us was extremely nice.

The furnitures were extremely essential and slightly damaged. The beds were not as comfy as we hoped: the mattresses seemed old, and the rest of the room seemed older. The towels were not included and the kitchen can be used only from 18:00 to 21:00 (and only the microwave).
