    I am compelled to share my recent experience at the Little Haven Hotel (4th–6th July 2025), which was deeply disappointing and far below the standard we have come to expect after over 15 years of loyal custom. From the outset, our stay was marred by serious issues. The room assigned to us had a persistent and unpleasant smell of burnt rubber and oil. Additionally, the main ceiling light was broken and flickering. We reported these problems immediately to reception, yet our concerns were met with indifference. Despite being assured that the matter would be addressed, no action was taken. Upon our return later that evening, the night porter insisted the issue had been resolved—it had not. The fault remained unresolved for the duration of our stay. The situation was further compounded by the exceptionally poor quality of breakfast on the first morning. The food was so substandard that none of us were able to eat it, and we made the decision to skip breakfast entirely the following day. This was particularly disappointing given the consistently high quality of food we have enjoyed here in previous years. This visit carried significant emotional weight, as we were in the area to scatter the ashes of a close friend—someone who also held the Little Haven Hotel in the highest regard. Instead of a supportive and comforting environment, we were met with unacceptable room conditions, a dismissive attitude from staff, and a general lack of care or accountability. We have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly and amicably with the hotel. Unfortunately, all communication has been ignored. This lack of response only reinforces the impression that guest welfare and long-term loyalty are no longer priorities for the management. Given the circumstances and the overall appalling experience, I am formally requesting a full reimbursement. This visit was not reflective of the service, hospitality, or professionalism that the Little Haven Hotel once represented. I share this review in the hope that other guests will be aware of the current decline—and that management will finally acknowledge and address these serious shortcomings.

    First time I had ever been in this hotel for a wedding and I live here. It is well kept, staff are lovely and it was a fantastic day. I would definitely recommend as a place to book. Only downside for me was the breakfast bacon. Personal preference but it could be cooked longer

    Not a good option and not value for money. Staffs in the restaurant are also not well behaved and sometimes rude.
