Friendly atmosphere. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Ideal for our needs as it was just an overnight stop.
Despite advertising food there was none available. There was confusion over payment for the room and I was asked to come back downstairs. It seems it had gone into new ownership that day and they had new electronic devices with 'glitches' the toilet roll could do with moving from it's current location because it's right behind you when you're sitting on the loo so unless you're an owl it's tricky. The window blind was broken and would not open. The lighting isn't brilliant.
These are minor issues and I'm sure will be ironed out soon. It would not deter us from staying again.

The room I had was situated above the bar, and although you could hear the music and people, it wasn't to intrusive and it should be expected when staying at a pub. The room itself was spacious enough with a shower room which was clean and tidy when I arrived. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub itself was really nice and had sky sports for the football. There is a small shop pretty much next door and a larger one a few minuets walk away.
I can't say there was anything I didn't like in the 2 nights that I stayed.
