The property was in a great position close to the old city and we were able to park near by. It was very clean and well maintained. The breakfasts were exceptional and our host was very generous. We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer.

The host deserves all the positive comments previously made. He provided a service which was exemplary. Breakfast provisions lasts for days! The accommodation is situated in a quiet street but only a short walking distance from the centre. Lots of good restaurants nearby and a local supermarket for anything you may need.
We would highly recommend Matera as a destination but allow at least 4 days.

We just loved our host, the accommodation and the location. The casa was clean, comfortable, modern, well equipped and quiet. Our host very sweetly showed us where to park our car. The casa is walking distance from the pedestrian zone and of all the sites in Matera. The washing machine and dryer were a bonus as we had been travelling for a while and it was handy to get all our clothes washed for the rest of our travels.
The host patiently went through all the main sites to see in Matera to keep our visit focused. I would definitely recommend La Casa dei Nonni to anyone wanting a relaxing, comfortable place to stay in the heart of Matera. Loved our kind host who took hospitality to a very professional level.
