Overall it was what we needed, and we were able to bring out bikes up to the property which is why we booked it in the first place.
The property does not have elevator and the stairs are from an old construction style, so they were a bit creaky when we were going up. Also we had to carry all our stuff up to the second floor. Anoter thing we did not like is that it smelled very strong like if someone smoked there and the smell stayed in the apartment.

We booked both apartments as we needed the bed spaces, located just 15 mins walk into the centre of Liege on a quiet street, communication with Chris was excellent and replied quickly when ever I had a question,we found both apartments to be excellent,clean and very comfortable, everything we needed in the apartment,we would definitely book here next time we plan a trip to Liege.

The appartment was clean and in a very quiet location
I got more or less 8 mails in between the reservation and the day of the stay. Some asking me for confirmation. I did reply to all these requests, tried even to call few days before the stay, leaving a message since nobody answered nor called back. The day of the stay, I received a long mail indicating that I would receive the door keycodes by mail. I then ONLY read that I had to bring bath towels, bath carpet and bed sheets! Since I did not receive any door keycodes 3 hours before the check-in, I called again the owner who was then very helpful. He sent me the codes and indicated that if I had no bed sheets, towels etc, I could find some in his garage that I could use to make my bed...What I did. The apartment was very cold so I called again the owner who indicated that all info was in the long emails in terms of managing the heating system. He again was very helpful in increasing the temperature remotely. In conclusion : the stay was more or less OK overall. However the fact that the owner did not show up nor did call me upfront did not help. Sending mails after mails - with missing key information (like the door keycodes) does not seem right to me. Finally, and after many years of usage of Booking.com to reserve hotel or B&B nights, it is the first time that I had to pick up towels and sheetsin the garage and make my bed myself for a 85 Eur night w/o breakfast. It seems that due to a new rule in Belgium, the owner of a property put in renting may not make the beds anymore !! That information was not mentioned at the time of reservation and I think that it is misleading. When called, the owner was very helpful - my suggestion is that he should proactively call and make things clear rather than wait for a last minute call from the people renting.
