We stayed in a superior , ground floor , dog friendly room in The Cottage.
It was extremely clean & comfortable & the sound proofed windows were excellent as it is on a main road.
The only noise we heard was from guests in the room above as the floor boards were incredibly creaky. Might request a first floor room next time , it’s only a short flight of stairs.
The room was very large and spacious , nicely decorated , it could easily take a larger bed which would have added to the comfort as would a pillow menu . We were gifted a bottle of beer and a small bottle of Prosecco , this was a nice touch , it was in the mini fridge with other saleable items .
There was good outside areas for walking the dog , and a field beyond the car park.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating .
The full English breakfast was delicious and nice and hot , we also ate in the restaurant and the food was extremely good and reasonably priced.
It is well worth joining The Butcombe Loyalty Scheme as this entitles you to many member only offers .
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it’s really worth a stay and food .
