everything super. we had the small starfish apartment. if you want a kitchen or bigger, book the other apartments. we had microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, kettle, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea. very nice view! cosy, a bit garden. we had everything we needed. host answered questions very soon via message. very nice stay. you can walk to beaches and bicheno town center. very nive shampoo and conditioner
you can hear steps from the people of the other apartments via the floor. but was ok.

The unit had a beautiful view, the main room faced the beach. It was also a short walk to the beach and there was a well worn train into town.
The beach was easy to walk on and also connects the central area of town.
The deck had a small table for two.
The host communicated in a timely manner.
Not a dislike, but it is a challenge to find the first time. Pay attention to the host's directions.

The surrounding was certainly a plus for us who lives in the city. We enjoyed the fresh sea breeze, beautiful view from the accomodation. The rooms are well-maintained too. I strongly recommmend Beachend Bicheno!
The window for one of the bedroom has no mosquito netting and some of the mosquito nettings have holes. It was quite warm on the night of our stay and the windows can't be opened, thus it made the bedrooms warm and hard to stay asleep.

We stayed in the Starfish unit (Unit 1) which conveniently is the closest unit to the parking area. It is only a short walk through the neighboring private property past the munching wallabies to reach the beach. While we didn't see any penguins or one night there, it is still a nice option. We also got to see a beautiful sunrise as the unit faces east.
The facilities could use some attention. The faucet for the large sink (it would be the kitchen sink if there was a kitchen) moves freely in its opening enough to make one hesitant to use it. The frig and "kitchen" area share the same space as the bathroom, which can be inconvenient at times. Internet speeds aren't the greatest.
