Apartments Hlapi with SPA

This is a cosy studio apartment right in the centre of Kobarid. The jacuzzi and sauna were a fantastic bonus which we enjoyed after a days hiking. It is in a perfect location to explore the Soča valley. The apartment was clean and the bed very comfortable. The property manager also helpfully organised taxi from and to the train station at quite unsociable times which was very helpful.

The church rings every quarter hour and on the hour all day but not throughout the night. If you’re an early bird then it’s perfect so you can make the most of your day. If you are not used to church bells ringing so much, it gives a little rattle of the nervous system but then you get used to it.

I liked the location, which was directly in the centre of Kobarid, near a lot of different restaurants. I liked the parking. The sauna and jacuzzi were the cherry on top. The apartment was very clean and nice.

Spa

Although the host was only available remotely, she was very kind (like an answering machine, and equally helpful).

Definitely the WORST accommodation experience during entire stay in Slovenia. Info on booking is unfair and in some instances simply not true (e.g. parking on site - yes, provided you are one of the three lucky car owners who come first!). The pricing is outrageous - you buy a spacious, more expensive room (by 30-40 eur) only to find out you end up in something much smaller (please note that here an indicated footage includes a large toilet/bathroom - so effectively the actual living space was I believe less than 20m2, quite hefty for almost 200eur a night). Owner does not care, despite having means to rectify the situation since you have already paid. And a cheery on a pie was a NO-SHOW cancellation issued by an owner, presumably to prevent a negative feedback to be shared. AVOID IF ONLY POSSIBLE
