Marko’s guest house felt like arriving to visit family. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The terraces were very nice, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the Livingroom/kitchen was well equipped and cozy.
The surroundings are very charming and inviting to relax, specially on the hammocks in the back going up the terraces by the vineyard.
Marko is a fantastic host. He offers a fantastic breakfast, has great tips for all of the surroundings and the boat trip with him was definitely a highlight.
We got to try some of his typical (and very tasty) black wine in the wine cellar and chat with him.
We wish we could have stayed longer.

Marko our the host and property owner, made a lot of effort to make us all feel welcome, he was incredibly kind to us but particularly our 5 year old daughter and made her trip very special even driving his boat on the lake! The property we stayed in was newly renovated to an excellent standard so was great value for money and comfort.

The host is amazing. He made us feel like a personal guest in his home vs a tourist. He clearly takes pride in his home, family and wine. His private boat tour for guests only was a highlight of two weeks we spend in Montenegro and Croatia. Only go here if you are looking for a personal touch and a peaceful trip. Dinner in the garden was special

This was our favourite accommodation during our three-week trip through the Balkans. The setting is idyllic, and we enjoyed spending some time in the beautiful garden, lying in the hammocks and watching the tortoises! We had a fabulous dinner in the garden on our first night - carp served with all kinds of salads and a glass of Marko's wine. We also had excellent breakfasts (8 euros per person), including some traditional doughnuts which kept us full for pretty much the whole day!
I recommend going on a sunrise boat trip with Marko if you can - it was the perfect way to see the lake, before it gets busy later in the day. Marko also showed us his winery, recommended some cycling routes, and generally went out of his way to be helpful. This really is a model of how to run a guest house - highly recommended!
The kitchen (shared with other guests) was absolutely fine for us, but it wouldn't be ideal if you wanted to do a lot of cooking. But when the food available is this good, you won't need to!
