We booked a single bed room. Since we did look at their website, we were expecting our room could be small but we thought it would be fine as we traveled light and other travelers thought the room was well designed for its size. It was. The issue we had was the lack of privacy because our window faces the courtyard stairs to the museum. There was no sheer layer for that purpose. With the small window, if we closed the drape, the room becomes unpleasantly dark and claustrophobic The second big negative was our bed. For a “ nice “ hotel, it was so unexpected that both our twin beds ( they put it together to make it a single which is commonplace and no problem for us) squeak with movements. Like you are on some cheap bed frames/ mattress. On the unexpected positive, nice artwork.

best hotel for my recent visit in Switzerland, hotel only has less than 20 rooms, clean and unique. Hotel is converted from historical site, special feeling and experience. Order to cook breakfast added value, and the classic restaurant set up is a plus. Dinner is a must try experience. Family own hotel business provides excellent services. Reminder to find the route to the hotel, elevator from old town directly to hotel entrance.

good counter staff good room, bad breakfast staff. bad morning breakfast experience. one of the staff were either racist or just simply blunt. still deciding how to perceive it: one staff said yes to our request to switch tables for the window table to see the view, soon, another person came along and refused to move us even when the table was empty. i mean, we did pay alot of money to stay and get a good scene of the city. why would there such a problem to simply move us to the window - especially when one of the stafff said yes, The way the waitress told us: "You will sit here, unitl you finish." as if she is speaking to her children. who speaks like that to customers who approach with kindess? A minus to our honeymoon experience.
