Our host was kindness itself, and could not have been more helpful and considerate - and was willing to speak with us in French, instead of switching into English the moment we hesitated, as so many people do (this is actually rather rude). Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the building had great character.
The only downside was nothing to do with the property itself: neither of the restaurants in the village was open, which was tricky for us as we were travelling without a car - the bus service to neighbouring villages and Nice is surprisingly good, and extremely cheap, but its times do not co-ordinate well with the evening opening times of village restaurants.

Amazing place to stay. Beautiful house with very friendly host, cozy rooms, amazing hikes around. Will definitely come again. Our dog loved it as well :)

Staying with Fabienne in the old village centre really was nice. She is an attentive host who even speaks German. The room was big enough for 3 and a dog. Breakfast was very nice as well.
The only thing that might count as missing was a refrigerator in the room...
