    Great location . Fantastic staff - every Interaction was gracious and perfect . Chic vibes of an Ian Schrager type hotel. It does however feel a bit dated and the room smelled musty or moldy. They have candles and a plug in air freshener to mask that.

    Every time we stay here (it's our favorite hotel), the worst part is always when we have to check out...we have extended our stay on some occasions! The rooftop pool is amazing, perfectly situated for stunning views of the ocean, Arpoador, Dois Irmãos, and the islands (Ilhas Cagarras), and it's exclusive for hotel guests, so always serene and well served by the staff. The service throughout the hotel is always top notch, ensuring every need is met. The interior design perfectly expresses Brazilian and modern Italian influences (you MUST experience the Gaetano Pesce "La Mama" chair--there is one on every floor). The daily breakfast (buffet and made to order items) is extensive and great and usually included in the daily rate. A wonderful way to start the day. The restaurant, Gero, is a top restaurant and good to visit even if you're not staying at Fasano, and of course, there are many wonderful dining options a quick Uber ride away. We have been and definitely will be back!!
