Gîte de Lombard is a clean well renovated and maintained property within easy walking distance of Ieper town centre and the main railway station.
The accommodation is on the upper levels of a three story town house and on top but separated from the owners own property which has been extended on the ground floor
The interior is modern in design with well equipped with modern facilities, namely Kitchen, toilet and shower etc.
The lower ground extension has allowed the owner to place a large and secure outside seating / dining area.
Despite being modern in design it has subtle traditional aspects such as exposed and treated light wood floors, doors etc with small artistic pictures detailing historic aspects of Ieper before during and after World War 1.
Beds are comfortable which, on our stay, consisted of two doubles and two single beds. One double is contained within its own bedroom. The second is also in a large room but has an open stairway leading up to two single beds contained in the attic area. The street it is located is quiet and clean.
There are also town bicycles for those who wish to cycle around Ieper town and surrounds
Sven and his son are attentive and helpful and both have am excellent command of English.
Highly recommended.
THERE IS NOTHING I / WE CNA MAKE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON . THE FOLLOWING IS ADVICE.
For those who have walking / mobility issues. As mentioned the property is on the upper floors and access is via stairs, There is no disabled access for wheelchairs or those with poor motility that require stairlifts.

It's a great location and Sven is a great host and is very helpful and accommodated our very late (midnight) arrival.
