We had a fabulous 6 day break based at Riverside Apartment. Many thanks to Wendy who showed us around and made sure we knew where everything was and how to operate the heating, kitchen appliances etc. It is a beautifully furnished apartment with every comfort, plus very generous welcome pack. It exceeded our expectations for location and facilities, is ideally situated for calm riverside views and is only minutes walk to the town centre, cathedral and castle. Wendy and Chris went above and beyond when we required assistance at the end of our stay, for which we are very grateful.

Excellent duplex apartment. The accommodation is tasteful and luxurious. Very well equipped kitchen. Really appreciated the generous provisions for breakfast. The beds and the sofas were super comfy. The underground parking is excellent: secure and with a lift! We loved watching boats drift along the river, as well as ducks, swans and a heron! This is holiday accommodation at its very best and we will definitely come back!
We were told about local restaurants etc. when we arrived but we were exhausted at that point and couldn’t remember the details the next day. It would be great to have some written suggestions. There was nothing in the flat folder. The main practical improvement suggestion is to add coat hooks to the bathroom and bedroom doors for dressing gowns/ nightwear.

We had an outstanding stay. The service from Chris was exceptional from check-in to check-out, he went above and beyond to ensure comfort. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The location was ideal, close to major attractions, yet quiet enough for a peaceful stay. Overall, Durham Riverside Apartment exceeded my expectations in every way, and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic location - close to everything and yet very peaceful and quiet. Great to watch rowers, swans and ducks from the balcony. Very nicely decorated and furnished. Everything you might need just like a home from home.
Hard to think of anything as it was so lovely. Only one thing we would have liked a choice of pillows as we prefer firmer ones.
