I was pleased I chose to stay at Margan apartment when in Split. The hostess was welcoming and even keeping an eye out for me from her balcony. When I arrived :-) The room was spacious with a desk and chair, small fridge and hand wash basin. It was sunny and had lots of ventilation. The location was a healthy 5–10 minutes up a gentle slope from the beautiful old town. There was a Lidl supermarket nearby.
As a first time visitor to Split, Croatia and the apartment, some local directions and suggestions in English would have been useful.

Room was quite small. It wasn't clear what facilities we could use. There was a shared bathroom and a kitchen downstairs but I was unsure of whether I could use the kitchen to get water since the hosts were usually in the room throughout the day.
