My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room conditions were poor and unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 4-star. The windows cannot be opened fully which made the room feel suffocating. When I asked at the reception, I was told this is for “security reasons.” This explanation felt unreasonable—are guests expected to jump out of the windows? Even children don’t do that.
Cleanliness was a major issue. The pillow cover had visible blood stains, and there was a lot of dust on the wall near the head area, which is very unhygienic. The curtains were fixed and could not be moved, adding to the discomfort.
The hotel also provides very few towels compared to other hotels. There are no complimentary facilities, welcome drinks, or activities that you would normally expect from a 4-star property, especially if guests choose to stay inside.
Breakfast was repetitive and lacked variety. Every day it was the same: boiled eggs, cooked eggs, cheese, pancakes, sausage, muesli, and some fruits. I barely found anything to eat other than eggs and bread.
Bowling costs €28 per hour, which is quite expensive, especially since there are no free recreational options offered by the hotel.
The only positive aspect of the stay was having a kettle (Wasserkocher) and a coffee machine in the room.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend this hotel. It does not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel

My first hotel stay in Helond. So can't compare to others. Location is good and residing in a beautiful place. Short walk to Helmond Castle. Restaurant staff were wonderful. The Bed and pillows were also very good, and I slept well. There were quite a bit of noise made by others at around 9pm, but none of the hotel's fault. Overall, I had a pleasant stay experience.
