It does what it says on the tin. It’s a basic but clean small hotel that served our purpose of a bed for the night at a reasonable price. The linens and rooms were clean if a little dated but quite comfortable enough for what we needed. It’s attached to a Toby carvery which again offers great value for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were helpful and cheerful which was lovely to see.
The property didn’t have air conditioning and whilst they did provide fans in every room, it had been the hottest week of the year so far and a number of rooms faced directly into the sun which meant some where quite hot and stuffy. The windows would only open a little bit which I get from a health & safety perspective but it would have been nice to get more of a breeze through.

Second stay here . Came to Devon county show. Just so handy location. Easy to get food with the Toby carvery on site. Always comfortable too

The hotel is situated perfectly for overnight stops on the way to the ferry in Plymouth. There is a Toby carvery next door which offers good value food options.
We've stayed here before as on overnight stop off, it used to be much cheaper but then I guess everything has gone up in price, we'll probably skip the stay in the future and set off earlier and travel directly to the ferry.

Easy stay, great location.
Its room roulette as to the quality of your room. Some stays its a recently refurbed one which is great, other times its something that needs a lick of paint!
