Really charming Hotel with very pleasant helpful staff. Meals were not bad though might have enjoyed some more adventurous additions on the specials. Beautiful site right next to the river and they surprised us by upgrading us to a family room which was beautiful.

We booked the hotel just before travelling. We don't know Oxford so our decision was based on reviews. We were able to get there easily by a short bus ride from the train station. It's convenient for walking to all the main sights. The family room was large, very clean and tastefully decorated and furnished, as was the rest of the hotel. We had breakfast included and there was plenty of choice, although both days we were there they had run out of black pudding! The hotel is set overlooking the river in a beautiful setting. If I was being picky, I wish the windows overlooking the river had been cleaned as the view would have been lovely. I know that dog owners will appreciate the dog-friendly policy, however I try to avoid dog friendly accommodation as I don't like thinking about dogs having enough the beds or in the eating areas. On our first evening there I was somewhat uncomfortable to see a large dog sitting with It's owner on one of the bench seats in the bar. All in all I thought it was a lovely hotel.
