The hotel is nicely situated across the port from the main beaches, but there is a small beach close by. This beach is however very, very crowded. The area is nice and enjoyable to walk around in, close to the city center with all it's buzz and restaurants. Parking is nearby, and the hotel was accomondating with storing our luggage before check-in. We enjoyed running in the nature reserve to the south in the morning, Overall the place has potential, but is in dire need of renovation and better cooling options (especially floor 4).
The hotel is dated. The first floor seems to be renovated, but we lived on floor 3 and floor 4 in two appartments. The top one, where we stayed four people, lacked proper AC. The AC only worked reasonably well in the bedroom, but the livingroom area where two people slept on the couch was very, very hot. The hotel could not provide a table fan to help the situation. The balcony is small with pretty uncomfortable furniture. Some shading provided. There is a small kitchen but pretty low on cutlery, glasses, etc.
