The staff were warm and welcoming, and we're great to advise us. The pub and restaurant are great and a fantastic atmosphere. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic, and at breakfast it was good quality and just what you need to start the day. The rooms are large and spacious and have a fantastic bed.
The rooms are great although the walls are very thin and sound travels easily.

countryside location. large room with sofa and fridge.bathroom large with bath and free standing large shower.
bathroom had no radiator so felt damp and was cold. we arrived as new owners taking over so limited menu in evening. very large portions which we couldnt eat. perhaps a light bite menu or tapas sized offerings could be added to new menu. breakfast had good choice of cooked items but again very large portions. would have preferred fresh or even tinned fruit but none offered.

Staff were all very nice, food was good
Room too hot (fan too weak to help), no view out of window at all (roof tiles view only). Green emergency charge light too bright (room illuminated green throughout the night) fairly cramped room even with small double bed. en-suite small.
Bed poor felt the springs and woke with hip pain. Pillows poor quality and uncomfortable. unable to sleep at all, it is a shame that the room was so bad as the Marsham Arms is a nice place with excellent staff, maybe we were just unlucky with the room we were given.
