I initially booked a stay at Hotel & Hostel Montarina in Lugano, but upon arrival, I was informed that I had been transferred to Hotel Continental, which is under the same management. Although the change was unexpected, it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making sure I was well-informed and comfortable with the new arrangement. They handled everything smoothly and made me feel very welcome. Their warm attitude truly stood out and made a difference in my stay. The new room at Hotel Continental was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped — definitely a good upgrade. The location was also just as convenient, within walking distance from the Lugano train station and city attractions. Overall, even though I didn’t stay at Montarina as planned, the excellent service and hospitality from the team made my visit to Lugano memorable. Highly recommended!

Located just outside the Train Station. Beautiful property up on a hill and is overlooking Lake Lugano. Fairy Tale experience.

Hostel is very near train station. So easy to go around Lugano. Many eateries and few supermarket nearby the area and around the lake.
