Good for an overnight stay on the way to the alps. Room was clean and comfortable, if a little small... but it's super cheap and very good value for money. We were arriving late on 26th December and I appreciated the hotel making the effort to call me directly and confirm my arrival time. Breakfast was also very good and well worth paying the bit extra for.
Nothing really... it's a budget hotel, so you get what you expect... but it's all done pretty well and perfectly comfortable and clean.

The breakfast was good and service was good
Room 18, just behind the reception and alongside the courtyard very busy until 23.30. Doors constantly banging closed . Not so good if you won’t a good nights sleep

This is the third time we’ve stayed there. The location is great -very central - and Chalon sur Saone is definitely worth a visit. We stop over there on our drive from Italy to UK. Parking was just across the road in a public outdoor parking area - very cheap and handy. Madame in reception was helpful
Sad to say it is pretty tatty and run down. Definitely just ‘a bed for the night’
Initially we were allocated a room on the ground floor which was shuttered and opened directly onto a car parking area. We were moved immediately on request. To be fair we didn’t have breakfast so that may have been good
