We enjoyed our stay at the hotel — the staff was very friendly and polite, the garden was lovely, and the interior was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable, and although the hotel is not located in the city center, it is well connected, with a bus line providing easy access to downtown.
The hotel did not have air conditioning, and the room was rather small, which made it quite warm to sleep during the summer weather.

The breakfast was great, the owner was very friendly. I liked that it was a fairly small hotel, so it felt more personal.
The first two nights I stayed in a room facing a busy street. I couldn’t open the window, and it got very warm. The next day I moved to a room that faced the garden, and that was really pretty, and nice.

The location is nice. Nantes is a lovely and beautiful city. There is lots of green and the food is lovely.
One member of the staff was unusually rude. I reached the hotel a few minutes after 8pm, and the reception closes at 8pm so I tried to call them to get the door access code, but the phone wasn't answered. After waiting several hours at the front door, another guest entering the hotel was kind enough to provide a "special" phone number which the hotel does answer (they provide this hidden phone number only after check-in), but the response of the person answering that phone was extremely rude and they initially did not even want to let me into the hotel and said I should sleep on the street (???), because I dared call him after 8pm. After a long discussion and begging I was provided access so I was able to sleep indoors. Note: I had already paid in advance.
I later saw that the hotel had sent me a message with the door access code via booking.com around 8pm, but I did not have mobile internet in France and there was no accessible wifi in the vicinity of the hotel, so I didn't know they had sent this message (solution: provide the hotel wifi password in advance).
The next day the rude staff member had told his boss at the reception various lies (e.g., that *he* called *me* and texted the code), so I just left. The boss at the reception seemed like a nice person though.
The hotel itself is fine, but the pictures of the bathroom are fake.
I booked and paid for a room that was advertised with pictures from a modern very good looking bathroom.
Compare the pictures they advertise on booking.com with my pictures, it's clearly not the same bathroom.
(edit: below they claim to be renovating, but then they shouldn't advertise with pictures from a different room it until the renovation is done)
Another minor problem is that the walls of the hotel are extremely thin. I could hear my neighbours whispering in bed.
