Aparthotel Adagio La Défense Esplanade

The location was perfect. Only 2 minutes walk to the Esplanade metro station. You can see the Eiffel tower and the arc while walking to the subway station.

The hotels usually provide free water for welcome and they didn’t. However, they had a water machine in the reception where you could fill up our bottle for free anytime. Our sofa bed’s sheet was a little bit dirty, but they came and changed it immediately. The rooms need a little bit renovation.

The hotel is clean, quiet, well located, and close to the metro station and the La Défense district. The breakfast, when we had one, was good. However, we are extremely dissatisfied with the service.

We stayed at this hotel twice. As we were a large group of colleagues, we booked two apartments each time. During our first stay, despite clearly stating in advance that there would be three people in each apartment, one apartment was prepared for four people and the other for only two. We are colleagues, not family, so this arrangement was completely inappropriate. We requested that an additional bed be prepared in the second apartment. We were promised this would be done, but it never happened. Instead, we were forced to move sheets and pillows between the apartments ourselves. The only thing the staff eventually provided—after asking a second time—was an extra blanket. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Our second stay was five days later and included breakfast. This time, the room arrangements were correct—three people in each apartment. However, on the day of our departure, we had to leave very early and could not wait for the breakfast we had already paid for. The day before, we requested breakfast boxes to take with us in the morning. Throughout that day, I spoke with three different receptionists. Each one gave us different promises: yes, there would be breakfast boxes; then no, there would not be boxes but the chef would come early to open the restaurant especially for us. We never asked for special treatment—we simply wanted the breakfast we had already paid for. On the morning of our departure, the restaurant did not open. There were no breakfast boxes. The chef did not come. We were told he would “try” to come earlier, but in reality, he did not come at all. There was no compensation, no apology—nothing. We are deeply outraged by this behavior. We were misled the entire day with promises that were never honored. If the hotel had simply told us from the beginning that it was not possible, we would have accepted it.
