Wow!!! what a hidden gem? Beautiful place surrounded by green country. Massive grounds. Amazing staff....very friendly and attentive. Ellen was the best. She even gave us a tour of the art and the building. Talk about a place to just go and fill your cup. You have an actual maze.....one of my highlights! And ducks and chickens and bees. The chap let us feed the ducks and told us all about the animals and all and also signposted us to the highest point nearby which was beautiful.
We had a lovely walk around the gardens a few times.
You should be doing more with this place like relaxation retreats in that large garden. I will be back. It was just what we needed.

I stayed just one night during Hay Festival but the property is set in the most beautiful countryside and to wake to rolling hills was an absolute bonus!
It would have been great to have had a mini fridge in room as the weather was extremely hot, so would have been great to have kept water cool.

Location & Nice old building.
Lovely polite young staff.
The toilet in my room hadn’t been cleaned.
No shower cap & possibly would have wanted individual soap, cream etc.
The food was ok but I did arrive end of service.
I would have like a tyre pump. Many rural hotels often have them.
