from when we arrived we were greeted and shown to our room. Very comfortable. Ate at the hotel on both nights, food very good. House wine ummm not good. Lounge area and staff excellent. Parking very good, in fact all facilities very good. Quaint old English hotel a little eccentric and we loved it. Looking forward to our next stay.

Nice comfortable hotel, well located with lovely staff. Excellent breakfast and evening meal though we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. Nevertheless, we would stay again, just dine early.

Great location and rooms reasonably well appointed and clean throughout. Our room was small and not easy to move about with the bed preventing the door opening fully. Breakfast good but not spectacular.
Bad points: Woken by the cleaner letting herself in early whilst we were still asleep and then staff chasing after us into the car park on leaving saying we hadn't paid. Had to go back in and show the payment taken from my bank by Agoda who we booked with.
Would I stay again?
Yes but only if it was cheaper than the *** we paid. Mistakes like the cleaner letting herself in and the payment issue I can live with. We all make mistakes occasionally.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, this is our second stay. All the staff helpful and friendly. The food is superb, bar area nice and relaxing.
The only downside this time was the bed, too hard for me, woke up with back ache.
