The Edge Of The Beach

Breakfast and all food served was of very high quality. The staff in all areas of the hotel are absolutely incredible. They could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this hotel for all of the above and the scenery in the surrounding area is stunning. The views from the bedroom is really beautiful. I cannot praise it enough.

I liked the warm welcome from all the staff, very friendly and helpful. We loved our room with separate lounge area, very comfortably location brilliant!

They were in middle of refurbishment so a little hectic when we arrived with wires and work people working on the hotel. The bar and restaurant closed, but we had complimentary drinks for the inconvenience and ate at The Beach hotel next door which was excellent.

Room was great, it was all very clean, the bed was conformable and the sea view was amazing. The breakfast and breakfast service was top notch. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful!

Evening dinner was a little slow, despite there being plenty of staff. The food was good, although my burger a little cold on arrival. We still had a good time though!

The room we had was not up to standard. The shower is awful, just drips. The paint was peeling off the bathroom walls. The fridge sounds like it’s dispensing ice all the time, which was disruptive in the night. The chair in the room was disgustingly stained. Nothing had been pat tested in the room since March last year. We were moved to the the sister hotel and our stay was much more pleasant. The chef also needs to be make sure the pancakes are fully cooked as I had some raw batter in one of mine. Which was a shame as they were tasty. I would say the actual website for the hotel promotes the two hotels as luxury stays which was definitely not the case for our stay. We were told there is a refurbishment in the autumn of the rooms.
