Super friendly staff, easy to navigate the bus system to the airport even early in the morning
I was in a ground floor room and it was noisy with noise from the restaurant kitchen and staff shouting to the kitchen. Lots of door slamming from other customers. To expected in a small lodge vibe property with airport pick ups etc, just bring ear plugs!

My grandaughter was so excited with the whole setup and the meal in the evening was delicious, especially the vegetarian lasagne x
We didn't have much toilet paper supplied and as we had to leave very early the next morning for the local hospital, 3 mins away, reason for staying, we just rationed it!
Would have been happier with a bit more selection on the tea tray: literally just tea and coffee, no biscuits, no decaf offered.
No TV remote to be found but friendly lady on reception rectified that for us immediately x

Being lied to.
I specifically emailed concerning the availability of a shuttle bus, one of the reasons I have used the hotel in the past.
I recieved an email confirming it's existence and the price was ÂŁ18 per room.
I had booked the accommodation for my daughter this time, travelling alone from Spain back to her home in Canada.
She arrived at Gatwick to find that there was NO shuttle bus, tried walking but had to turn back and get a taxi.
When she asked about the shuttle bus to get back to the airport the next day she was informed that there was no bus as the hotel was 'under new management', this was three days after I had recieved the confirmation email, but they could order her a taxi for ÂŁ22. She was,travelling on a very tight budget so in the end got the ordinary bus back to the airport in the morning!!
Needless to say I will not be using The Corner House for my future travels.
