Clean bathroom & comfy bed. Staff were responsive to our need for an early breakfast.

The location is superb. Craiglands has clearly been through a fairly substantial redecorating phase, and it has improved. My friend and I went for one night as we were attending a function. Lots, and lots of luggage. A lift to the second floor, but then a rather perilous staircase to reach our room with no offer of help, and a vague description of how to get through the circuoutous route.
See above, You pay for the location and very little else. The afternoon tea was acceptable. This place feels like it just needs a proper chain to take over. The experience was that the whole thing is amateur. Infrastructure wise, it is poor. The staircases have been ramshacked together over the years with calved up space to maximise income. In turn this limits the safety and experience of the guests
