In the center of Parma.

Very good location in the centre of Parma, right next to Palazzo della Pilotta. All the main attractions of the city are within a short walk. Classical style interior, a bit worn out, but everything is still OK overall. Good value for money. We had a Deluxe Double room and it wasn't very big, but we fit in. We also have a pretty big balcony with gorgeous sculptures and it was nice to spend some time there in the warmer months. Rooms in the same class can be of different sizes, but even the smallest room is OK in size. The quality of the breakfast was not very good, but everything is there and the selection is above average for Italy. The coffee is instant, not from beans. The hotel restaurant has quite good reviews, but the quality of the breakfast did not encourage us to try it. The hotel has its own closed underground parking, very small parking spaces (as is often the case in Italy), parking is an additional charge of €20 per day. Considering the recent increase in theft of items from cars, a closed parking lot is a huge plus. There is no free water in the room, but there is a free water dispenser in the lobby. There was a kettle in the room, so you could make tea and instant coffee. There is no toothbrush and shaving kit. The internet speed was generally good, but occasionally fluctuated and sometimes fell very slowly. There is no doorman and no one helps with suitcases and no one shows you to your room. The receptionist was kind, but apparently has not been trained in customer service. In front of the neighbouring Palazzo della Pilotta, there is now a gathering place for Arab youth in the evenings, there were many of them there and they were noisy until late hours. NB! In the evenings the front door of the hotel may be locked, next to the door there is a metal plate with two unmarked buttons, these are doorbells and you have to press both, because the receptionist can be in different places. You will not hear the bell ring and no one will answer the call, you just have to wait patiently until the receptionist comes. It seems to me that given the building and location, there is a lot of unused potential to do things better, but probably that's when this kind of quality is most optimal and there is not enough demand for better quality. In conclusion, this is a suitable place to stay if you don't expect high-level service and luxury.

Fantastic receptionists, thank you for your help. However, the lady (from Eastern Europe?) at breakfast could have avoided making constant negative comments to her colleagues in the kitchen. Not only because of her rude and unprofessional manner, but also because of the volume of her voice. Very unpleasant! Otherwise, an excellent hotel, highly recommended.

Good shower in a perfect location. The internet was terrible and they had turned the AC off in the rooms for the season which was uncomfortable. The room had a window which helped but allowed insects in.
