The hotel is situated in a beautiful location on the lake - stunning views from the terrace. We are so grateful for the room upgrade for our special occasion, which meant we had a really spacious home for 5 days. I particularly enjoyed the sunloungers in the room terrace and the walk-in wardrobe. Staff were generally very friendly.
The hotel had the potential to be great but lots of missed opportunities to make the experience feel efficient, good value or thoughtful. This was summed up by a few examples:
1) Breakfast was good in terms of variety of produce but service was extremely disorganised and inattentive with clearly no system in place. You had to go find someone to place orders and then half the time these orders were very delayed or never came. They also start tidying up at 10.35am everyday even though breakfast finishes at 11am, making you feel rushed and pushed out. Not always very relaxing!
2) The spa is not included and is very pricey, which is surprising given the cost of the hotel. The gym is also in their other hotel across the road, difficult to find, and much of the equipment was old or out of order. In fact, very little was complimentary / reasonably priced on site. Cheaper drinks for guests on the terrace probably would have incentivised us to spend more money in the hotel ironically!
3) They say they have a shuttle service into town but it is only 2-3 times per day and then half the time, it was full. I couldn't book in advance so we ended up spending a fair amount on ubers.

The Hotel is beautiful with wonderful views to the lake and mountains, the staff are excellent and our room Junior Suite exceptional. The restaurant and food is excellent for foodies. Our stay was for one night as part of a longer road trip so can’t comment, on how a longer stay would have been.
Difficult to find for the first time, slightly out of the city centre in a residential area. Gym equipment was a bit tired which, for a hotel of this quality was a bit unexpected. Would not be a Hotel we would choose for more than a couple of nights.

Location and view from the top.
Same old structuew like one I visited 20-25-30 years ago. In need of totall refurbishment. Very old bathrooms like in some student dormitories. Very slow serrcice st the reception.
