ibis Styles Speyer

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and the room was exceptionally clean. The location was convenient for me since I was visiting the Bistum Archiv in Speyer, which was a five minute walk and the staff allowed me to leave my car in their parking lot. A real plus since parking in Speyer is difficult at best. However, for me, the measure of a hotel is the comfort of the bed. If I have ever slept in a more comfortable bed away from home, I can't remember it. This hotel is 5 starts from where I stand!

I found nothing I didn't like. You ask for 2 or three sentences? That isn't possible.

The location is fine, we could park on premises, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and speaks English well. The breakfast was sufficient and starts at an early hour. Good value for money overall. Family room is basically 2 rooms connected to one another so you get 2 bathrooms. The 12:00 checkout is pretty chill too!

Some details of the room could be refreshed. Everything is functional, but not in top condition anymore. Shower door, curtains. The family room was actually 2 adjacent rooms connected to each other but they didn't open these at first.

- a bit dated facilities - light outside not turned off during night. Impossible to get dark room.

walking distance to speyer tecknik museum and parking availability. The reception staff were super kind and nice and helpful.

the carpet was dirty. it was gross to walk on it. You have to make your own bed. they do not make the bed. the leave the duvet on the bed foot for you to make your own bed.
