This was an amazing place to stay from the moment you drive into the Estate to the beautiful building, facilities & rooms. My fav of all the places we stayed in Scotland.
We only stayed one night…will have to come back.

We really loved the beautiful river setting and the surrounding grounds – it feels peaceful and scenic. The interior design of the hotel is stylish and well thought out. The food was very good, and the staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool was also perfect for my daughter – she absolutely loved it.
Everything was generally very good, nothing significant to complain about.

Beautiful building and spacious, clean room
We were attending a wedding in an outdoor marquee and there hadn’t been any thought to how guests might go to and from the marquee in the pouring rain.

Property is situated on a very picturesque estate surrounded by wooded areas perfect for walks and very close to the Main Street in dunkeld which has nice shops, cafes and pubs.
Staff throughout the building were friendly, polite and helpful.
The rooms are clearly modern with a classic feel staying true to the nature of the property, however had no fridge which was an inconvenience. We booked this for a spa break which was not the relaxing trip we hoped for. The pool area was full of screaming children and was quite cold so not relaxing at all. The sauna had a broken heat element so was not at full temperature, it was still a nice change from the cold air at the pool. The pool, gym, sauna etc are all used by locals and as there was a gym class on after the kids had left the pool, it was then very busy again. No option to have drinks, nibbles etc at the pool either. Again not essential, but having stayed at many other spa hotels I stupidly assumed this was just standard.
Prices for spa treatments were normal for a spa hotel, overpriced but expected.
Bugs in the hotel downstairs as the doors are left open to the spa area, I was shocked having lived in Scotland my whole life to come across a cockroach for the first time.
Dinner in the restaurant was lacking, fair enough we had booked for 8:30pm and I imagine by that time staff want to wrap up for the night but we found it difficult to flag down anyone for condiments etc. The lobster was so overcooked it was like rubber, could have bounced it off the walls, bland and not very hot. Also was served with chips and “salad” aka pea shoots and rocket. The venison however was delicious.
One starter between 2, 2 mains and a bottle of wine £140. Not over extravagant prices but I still wouldn’t recommend for the price. And as I didn’t eat the lobster I was left hungry.
Overall, it’s a beautiful building with spectacular views and the potential to be a relaxing get away but we were left unimpressed and disappointed by the stay.
