Hotel Atlantic

Worth staying just for the breakfast… beautiful view, delicious food with excellent attention to detail. The best hotel breakfast options I’ve ever had. The whole hotel is tranquil and well designed. Staff are kind and helpful. Rooms very comfortable and lovely view. My room was next to an elevator. This was listed in my booking, I just didn’t quite realise it meant RIGHT next to the elevator. It wasn’t too bad, I’m a light sleeper and slept fine. (Sorry if I was a grump to the staff member after I checked in… I was nervous about the elevator and tried to change rooms. But it was okay).

Great breakfast with a view. Convenient location and good value for the money.

There was no wardrobe and hardly any possibility to hand stuff. Not a good choice if you have a lot of luggage.

It was February and I paid £310 for 3 nights which I thought was very good value. Staff were efficient and friendly; especially the breakfast staff. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and unlimited. The room were of a moderate size and clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. The 2 single duvets is a great idea.

No walk in shower, just a hose in the bath. The rooms were too hot. Standard temperature was 24 deg C. I asked at reception and it was turned in down to 20 - but the room was still very warm.

Good location, good rooms size.

The breakfast restaurant was under construction - the staff INSISTED we had been emailed but we had not. In fact, the hotel had emailed asking us to book a timeslot at the buffet!!! Instead of that nice hot buffet with a view, we got a small box of ice cold buns to eat in the lobby..total letdown. Also parking was expensive and sketchy, so we ended up parking 15 mins walk away. Rooms are good in size, but decor is tired, bathrooms with tiles that can't quite be cleaned, heavy wood furniture, stuffy carpets.
