Selve hotellet er helt vildt skønt. Og skøn mad. Dejligt personale. Skønt skønt sted

Vi boede i et ferie hus. Der mangler nogle ting i huset. Knag til jakker, knag til viskestykker, grydelapper. Kaffemaskine var i stykker. Noget porcelæn var i skåret. Ingen stikkontakt ved sengen så man kan lade sin telefon om natten. Badeværelses møbler er skabet af vand fra når man går i bad. Til en pris af 2200kr for en overnatning så skal sådanne småting være i orden. Ellers et meget lækkert sted

We stayed here for two nights in a room with a a beach view terrace. A beautiful early 20th century property which was carefully renovated. We loved the common areas including a lounge with fireplace for pre-dinner drinks and a library with arm chairs. The restaurant experience was stunning: inventive food with a Mediterranean twist and an expertly curated wine list leave nothing more to wish for. We also tried Cafe Danmark in nearby Esbjerg, which I cannot recommend enough (make a reservation). We will be back.

Charming old hotel.

I ate at the restaurant. My first two wine choices were not available. I opted for an expensive option but the food was disappointing. The wait staff were not well trained and this also detracted from my experience. I had booked a table through booking.com and I had to wait to be seated while my missing booking was located. This made me feel unwelcome and this was not improved by poor wine options and assistance with a menu that clearly had some culinary bunkers. The room was over heated and I could not find a thermostat. That said I would stay again but avoid or address these issues

Hjering Badehotel is a delightful hotel. The rooms are decorated in what we would call the Nantucket Style in the USA—simple lines, summer colors, and casual—but tasteful—furnishings. The beds were very comfortable. Our room had a large bathtub—very nice! There is a beach with a boardwalk just across from the hotel. It is the perfect place for a summer holiday. If you want to make your own breakfast or picnic lunch, there is a good grocery store about two blocks away. There is a bus stop near the store that goes to Esbjerg every half hour. You can also rent bikes at the hotel. There is a paved bike path all the way to Esbjerg. Esbjerg serves as a hub for activities in the area. You can take the ferry to the lovely island of Fanø, the train to the historic town of Ribe, or visit the modern aquarium in town. There are a variety of good restaurants to choose from.

Would have appreciated some low-fat options at breakfast.
