Hôtel Hors-Château - Liège Centre Historique

The location to the center of the city was excellent. About a 2 minute walk and you are in Place St.Lambert where you will find loads of nice restaurants, bars and the main bus stop is there also. Aircon in the room was really good. I had to travel to the airport daily so the 3 euro 30 cents one way ticket was much better value than paying 35 euros in a taxi one way. The public tram service was very good also, Taxis are expensive and even when you use ubar what shows up is a regular cab so ubar is not that cheap, maybe 5 euros less than a regular cab fare. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel, I usually ate something on the go from the many small supermarkets which are about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. All in all I found the location excellent and the room was very quiet. The stairs up to the bedrooms are a little steep, not an issue if you a re able and mobile but older people and those with disabilities would find it a challenge. The privacy from the shower and toilet are in my opinion not great, I was on my own so it wasn't an issue , there's only a sliding glass panel separating the toilet from the bed room, The toilet is not in view of the room though i must add but if its total privacy you need then this could be an issue. This might not be an issue for some couples but personally If I was there with someone I really would not have been that comfortable using it, again that's just my opinion. A small refrigerator in the room should be a must in any hotel, just to keep snacks cool and drinks cool, I was only there for 5 nights so I wouldn't say it was a game changer but it would have been helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily and always very clean.

I cant say that I didn't like anything , everything was fine. If you are not that mobile then the stairs getting to the bedrooms might be a challenge, if not then they are not that bad. A small refrigiator in the room would be very helpful, my room did not have one .

Room was very comfortable, hot water was great. Great location for exploring Liege. just down the street from the famous stairs and convenient for getting to entertainment venues without being too touristy.

Bathroom was a little cramped. Breakfast was a bit pricey.

Nice location, close to cafes and city center but quieter. The proprietor is jovial and very helpful. Nice fresh design.

Stairs to the loft are a little awkward.
