Could do with a little update

From the warm welcome to the facilities, everything about the hotel was excellent. The location was fantastic, and everything we ate at Amù Restaurant was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, Nikki Beach was closed on the day we visited, and we would have loved to experience it as well. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the hotel, the views, and the overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We were very satisfied with every aspect of our stay, and it has become a hotel we would happily choose again in the future.

Our room was located on a lower floor, and because of the greenery directly in front of it, the Formula 1 track view was not visible. I specifically chose this room for the view, so this was a bit disappointing.

The location was good for a short stay. We wanted to be able to walk to things and to be able to see the famous hairpin turn for the Formula E race. The breakfast was good and the rooftop location had amazing views. These things saved the stay from being a disaster.

Upon check in, we were given a king bed. As I was traveling with my 18 year old son, I had booked two beds. They acted like they did me a favor by changing to two beds despite showing them the reservation details. As we arrived at 9pm day one and I left at 7:30 AM on day three, I knew we would spend little to no time in the room. However, the courtyard we were given look neglected. There are two courtyards. Wished I had paid more for a better view despite no time in the room mainly because we arrived from The Ritz in Tokyo were the view was amazing. Room is a standard basic room. The decor is tasteful. The bathroom is small. For the past 30 years I have traveled for my job as a pilot. This felt like a glorified work hotel. When you travel most of your life you either ignore the details or you zoom in and I am the latter. Hallway carpets filthy - to me that is always a sign of how the property is kept. They had a race team staying there so you would think you would be on your A game. Arranged two taxis with the concierge. My son left later to stay and see some of the race. The details were a mess. Despite having a race - you would think guest relations during a race would be a solid operation- they were all unclear about how to get me to the taxi stand as it had to be relocated for the race. Needed a lot of extra time to walk to the stand which no one told us but we predicted based upon the stands for the race would be necessary. Also it was up and down stairs with suitcases which is understandable given the race but what is odd with multiple bell hops their attitude was walk to xyz. Since I had no idea, I said you need to take me. Never would have found it. I have no patience to see a bunch of people standing by doing nothing offering no help. Customer service was poor all around.
