About this cabin rental
The historic smithy hut from 1876, located in the Hessian mountain region, offers the ideal retreat on around 50sqm after a day full of beautiful and exciting experiences: hiking, mountain biking, trips to the region or simply unwinding!
THE ENVIRONMENT
Our smithy hut is originally but stylishly furnished and is beautifully situated on the site of a historic shepherd's farm, right on the edge of the forest. It is part of a 250-year-old courtyard consisting of the main house, the barn, the stables and the historic smithy hut. It was lovingly renovated in 2018 in a historic style and is now available to our guests. The harmonious ambience creates an atmosphere in which you quickly feel at home. At home, but secluded from the stressful everyday world.
THE LIVING ROOM
The historic smithy is simply furnished, but with everything you need for a few relaxing days: A 1.60 m bed, two wonderfully comfortable armchairs, a kitchen niche with a dining area and a small bathroom with shower and toilet are available to you. A narrow spiral staircase leads from the living room to the cozy attic, the sleeping area of the Dahler forge.
On cold days, you can end the evenings in front of the crackling fire of the wood stove with a good book and a glass of wine.
In the kitchen you will find a basic set of dishes including a toaster, a small fridge and a ceramic hob. If you like it even more rustic, you can also use a charcoal grill, depending on the weather conditions.
Bed linen is provided, towels can be provided on request.
TV and internet are not to be found - deceleration is the motto!
In addition to the smithy hut, you are welcome to enjoy our extensive garden with a pond, where you can relax and unwind from the stress of everyday life.

The smithy hut is only available to you. However, our house is right next door and we are always happy to help with tips about our beautiful home!

The panoramic hiking trail starts right in front of the door and leads over the Schäferhof estate. Through forests and fields you can walk for hours or start mountain bike tours. Numerous cultural sights, bathing opportunities or even restaurants are in the area. You will receive further information and tips on excursions - whether in good or bad weather, on arrival.

Dieser Ulaub war einfach wunderbar. Die Vermieter sind einfach die Allerbesten. Herzlich, freundlich, zuvorkommend, alles was man braucht. Die Hütte war ganz genau so wunderschön wie auf den Bildern.
Perfekt für eine Auszeit. Zum Runterkommen. Für die Zweisamkeit.
Keine Ablenkung durch TV oder Internet.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns ein Wochenende lang entspannen. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von den Vermietern empfangen. Das vermietete Objekt entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen. Lage und Umgebung waren hervorragend, da es genau das war was für uns gewünscht haben. Eine wunderbare entschleunigt der Auszeit für ein paar Tage. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen
