About this apartment rental
The small town of Menzenschwand, located at the southern foot of the Feldberg at almost 900 m, is a district of the city of St. 8 km away Blasien. It still has the charm of a quiet Black Forest village with many old houses. In summer, in addition to countless hiking trails and the many excursions to the surrounding lakes, nearby Switzerland and France, tennis players, mountain bikers and paragliders also find an attractive environment. In winter, 2 larger ski lifts and 1 beginners' ski lift attract many holidaymakers and guests in addition to the many cross-country trails and well-kept hiking trails up to the ski lifts on the highest mountain (1493 m) in the Black Forest. Guided tours (also with snowshoes) and other winter sports and events are offered.
A warm bath in the village with an outdoor pool, saunas, as well as radon and wellness offers can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Our apartment in the Bacmeister house is located in the Vorderdorf on the western outskirts of the village in a park-like garden plot of almost 4,000 square meters, bordering a stream in the west, the Menzenschwalder Alb. The direct access of the apartment on the ground floor to the huge garden is ideal for relaxing holidays for families with children.
The well furnished and cozy, 130 sqm apartment on the ground floor of the old Black Forest house can be accessed via a large terrace. A spacious entrance hall leads to the 25 sqm living room with TV, DVD, fireplace and comfortable seating. From here there are 3 bedrooms with up to 8 beds. In addition to the spacious, centrally located kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, there is also a room with a washing machine and dryer, a second toilet and a storage room. The 15 sqm bathroom is equipped with toilet, 2 wash stations, bath tub and shower.
There is a covered table tennis court at the house, there is seating and a grill on the terrace, and there is a swing, slide and sandpit in the garden. In the barn there is a trampoline, a soccer table and bicycles for free rental.

This was our third stay in this charming home in Menzenschwand. For us, it’s the only place we want to lodge. It has all the modern updating and conveniences, while retaining it’s old world charm. Kitchen is well equipped with everything one could possibly need and bathroom is modern and spacious. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. The living room / dining area so comfortable and surrounded by windows to enjoy the view. Plenty of books, games to entertain when not enjoying the outdoors. Large garden to relax and serene Brook running at edge of property. We spent our late afternoons napping by the brook and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
We will be returning next year, if not sooner!

Had a little trouble with the reservation, property was confirmed to me, but not to the owner. Katja was very apologetic about the mix-up. Key was a bit tricky to find. Wonderful property in a beautiful location.
