About this cottage rental
Located in the outbuildings of the vineyard of Sonnay Castle, classified in AOC Chinon, within the walls of its park, the Relais de Sonnay offers a hamlet composed of 3 furnished tourist 4 *, restored in a spirit of respectful range of traditional materials and know-how: tufa stone, lime, sand plaster, steel, terracotta floors, oak, beech or cedar wood. Independent and autonomous, they are designed to be occupied in a flexible way: separately or grouped.
Here you will find the first of these, the "Fernand de Saint-Exupéry Lodge", with a capacity of 2 people, accessible to people with reduced mobility: an area of 55 m2, located on the ground floor. ground floor of a pretty house in Touraine with fireplace, kitchen, walk-in shower + 1 separate toilet, and 1 queensize bed 160, giving walk-in private courtyard.
The service includes all services useful to the comfort of a stay in furnished 4 * classified, namely the supply of sheets (made beds) and linens, wifi and telephone (a box and a line independent per house), electricity and heating, the necessary household and consumables of use, a small bottom of groceries, the vat and the taxes of stay, as well as the cleaning of exit and some small welcome gifts ... This accommodation is the holder of the "Valeurs Regional Natural Park".
Minimum rental required of 3 nights. Smaller formulas on request.

The gite was perfect for us. Close to Chinon but in a secluded, beautiful area.Check in was simple - Frederic was there to meet us and made us feel very welcome. The gite was immaculate and well equipped. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.The grounds of the chateaux are beautiful and we particularly enjoyed using the pool.An excellent stay.

I must say that our stay at The Sonnay Castle Lodge was superb. The Lodge is stunningly designed with amazing facilities and the host is incredibly present with nothing being too much.
The setting is beautiful and peaceful with every amenity catered for. I would recommend this place to stay every time for all.

An amazing place in my favourite red wine region of France (which alas at the moment I cannot drink). To be in this great setting when the vines are just being picked was a joy. Frederic the owner is a wonderful gracious host and it made it a more personal stay to have the host nearby if needed, and be left his own wine to drink. On the first night we were invited to a soiree at his chateau which we missed as too tired after a long journey. This is a fantastic setting and the accommodation is very well equipped. Plenty to see and do within a 20 mile radius. We stayed for 7 nights but left wishing we had booked for more. Would recommend without hesitation, you could stay without leaving the environs of the chateau, just relax , read and enjoy the view. We have stayed in numerous places and this is in our top two.
