Upon arriving my eyes were so pleased, but to my disappointment, it was NOT the beautiful chalet one sees on the advertisement. It was the botton part of the chalet, The top part was the owners. So, as one knows, you hear the stomping above, the coffee smell at 05:30 and the general feeling one is not alone. Besides these negatives we had a pleasant stay. The Jura area was exceptional and the people were kind. Excellent cycling trails. The ower provided us with loads of information about the surrounding area.

This very clean chambre d'hote (our first time) was comfortable and in a very convenient location for the lake, village and surrounding countryside. The owners did not speak much English and our French is patchy but we made ourselves understood. The property is described as quiet but there are two nearby campsites which could be heard from the terrace. This did not spoil things for us but was unexpected. The room is simply equipped for cooking basic meals but could do with a couple more items, such as a slotted spoon/fishslice, wine glasses and a separate board and knife for meat (one is provided for bread). We had a great time exploring the lakes - don't miss the cheese making demo in Thoiria or the cascades d' Herisson. English is not widely spoken in this area but that suited us fine. It is an unspoiled and surprising region.

We had a really lovely and great time. The room was prefect for us - really adorable and convenient, feels like a little home. The terrace is huge and so spoiling: the serenity, the comforts and the lake view - OH the view ! Just incredible.
A big extra is the wonderful and super nice hosts that made us feel very comfortable and took care we have everything we needed.
We will be definitely back! We found our spot in the Jura.
