Borgo San Rocco
Our modern 2.5 room apartment has been ready for you since Easter 2014. It enchants with simple shapes and a high standard of expansion. The covered panoramic terrace with the most beautiful view of the Alta Langa in its original state offers a relaxing view of the unique landscape. The apartment is fully equipped with attention to detail. It consists of a beautiful double bedroom with direct exit, an open living-dining room with kitchen unit, and a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped, among other things, with a 4-plate induction cooker, a dishwasher and a convection oven. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. In the living room there is a television with international programs received by satellite. Of course, WiFi is also available.
The covered terrace faces the morning sun. There are deckchairs, an outside table with 4 chairs and a garden grill. The beautiful surroundings invite you to go for walks or bike rides.
The owners live in the immediate vicinity. In the direct surrounding area there is also a gourmet and cultural studio with small production (no noise). Here our guests can look over our shoulders, be it in the processing of herbal products, the production of pasta or the sewing studio. If you want, you can of course take something home-made with you! There is also the option of being spoiled by your hosts with a wonderful tavolata and gaining insights into the Piedmontese cuisine. Of course, we are available with advice and help for planning the leisure activities if this is desired.
Castino is located on one of the beautiful hills of the Alta Langha, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. The small towns of Cortemilia and Santo Stefano Belbo can be reached in a few minutes by car, the famous cities of Alba and Asti with their rich cultural and culinary offerings are within 30 and 45 driving distances, respectively. It only takes 1 hour to the Ligurian coast and the city of Savona. Mountain hiking fans can reach the Piedmontese Western Alps with their wonderful hiking opportunities in an hour and a half. The charming town of Acqui Terme with its wide range of thermal baths is thirty minutes away. Castino is right in the middle, and you can combine a relaxing retreat with lots of wonderful leisure activities!

Wir haben uns zu zweit in dieser Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt!
Die Lage ist fantastisch mit herrlichem Ausblick über das Bormida-Tal. Kleines Manko für Lärmempflindliche: am Wochenende sind auf der Strasse sehr viele Motorräder unterwegs; ansonsten sehr ruhig!
Die Ausstattung: es war wirklich alles da - wie beschrieben! Die Küchenausstattung liess keine Kochwünsche offen und wir haben sie auch oft genutzt. Zudem gab es erntefrische Zutaten aus dem Garten von Rita Maria (sehr schmackhafte Tomaten!).
Den Weitblick von der Terrasse haben wir beim Abendessen besonders genosssen. Auf TV konnten wir daher weitgehend verzichten; WLAN war immer verfügbar und sehr schnell.
Rita Maria hat uns außerdem gute Tipps zur Tagesgestaltung und Gastronomie gegeben.
Castino ist klein, aber man kann sich gut vor Ort versorgen; es gibt auch zwei gute Lokale!

Die Wohnung überzeugt mit ihrem modernen Flair und der Einfachheit des Zugangs. Als älteres Ehepaar waren wir sehr froh, ebenerdig in die Wohnung zu gelangen und auch drinnen keine Stufen vorzufinden. Die Gastgeber haben uns in unsern Aktivitäten und Fragen zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich unterstützt, wir freuen uns auf das nächste in Castino - vielen Dank für alles.

....durften wir in Castino erleben. Sehr liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die uns gute Tipps gaben. Eine moderne, bestens eingerichtete Wohnung, die keine Wünsche offen ließ und uns täglich mit dem Ausblick auf einer tollen Terrasse begeisterte.
Wir haben mit unseren Rädern die Umgebung erkundet, dabei in Dörfern am Berg schönste Plätze gefunden. Das Piemont ist kulinarisch hervorragend aufgestellt. Selbst in Castino gibt es kleine Läden in denen man sich den täglichen Bedarf oder frische Brötchen besorgen kann.
Wir haben uns mehr als wohlgefühlt und waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal da.
